The St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s Malankara (Indian) Orthodox Church Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, was declared as a Parish by His Grace Dr. Yuhanon Mar Diascoros , Metropolitan of the Diocese of Madras of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (also known as the Indian Orthodox Church), as of July 1st 2021, by Kalpana No 85/2012, dated 19/06/2021.

This is a parish church in the Malankara (Indian) Orthodox Syrian Church and is established to cater to the spiritual, moral, social and educational needs according to the faiths and doctrines of the Malankara (Indian) Orthodox Church,
To organize and provide, for its members, activities, services, resources, amenities and facilities including but not limited to the following areas:-

• Administering the liturgy and sacraments studies
• The pastoral work of the Clergy
• Cultural values, artistic and educational events and services
• Welfare, vocational and community development services
• Sporting and recreational services
• Literary, language studies and publishing activities
• Evangelistic and Mission work
•  Ecumenism
