Forward in Faith

We all know that God guides us in the path of righteousness. We must follow him with complete compassion and not look back. As humans, we often look back on our lives, our past mistakes. We dwell on them and we let them dictate our present and future. But as followers of God, we should trust in him, and allow him to guide us. When we see that God helps us, we won’t be stuck on the past but will succeed into the future, knowing that God is with us every step of the way.

An example where God guided his people is when Moses/Aaron was appointed to guide the Israelites out of slavery. He said to God that he had a stutter and would not be a good leader. But, God gave him strength and he was able to help the Israelites under 40 years of slavery free.

Proverbs chapter 3 verse 5-6 reads “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

As the fourth Sunday after new Sunday approaches, let us give thanks to God for always guiding us, no matter our past.
